Poet and writer Edna St. Vincent Millay was inspired by train travel, and for good reason.  Trains from her era were opulent, their departures from the station were likened to the sailing of great ships.  It is our goal to recreate, in microcosm, the experience of luxury rail travel and offer the 21st century traveler an opportunity to enjoy a trip that takes you not only to your destination but to another place and time.

The Morristown & Erie Railway has been operating private railcar excursions, political specials and corporate outings since 1986.  Our fleet is constantly being upgraded and enhanced to provide safe and luxurious accommodations and a level of service beyond your expectations.  Allow us to provide you with an opportunity to experience our re-creation of luxury rail travel.
